Mining the Beauty of Michigan's Copper Country

I just returned from my childhood home in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  Here are a few photos from our trip:

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Fading light, dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night.

Thanks and praise, for our days,
'Neath the sun, 'neath the stars, neath the sky;
As we go, this we know, God is nigh.

Hi Vicki,
This is a beautiful post. Just looking at all the beautiful water and the folks in jackets by the fire reminds me of a cooler time and gives me hope that maybe someday we will see rain and cool weather again. Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a great Sunday!
